“One of the main themes of my artistic research is the idea of deterritorialization. Space is a shifting platform between the imaginary and the real, abstraction and form, suggesting an in-between place, which can be called "Non-Place". By mixing in my artistic language various sensory memories: immensity, extension, lightness, intangible space, silence, immobility - and their counterparts: fragments, grids, architectural lines, domestic forms and signs; the work moves from distance to surface, from here to there, from full to void. These intermingling effects create resonances that give rise to contemplative works and inform us about the thickness of time that passes through us.” Johanna Baudou
